The Mississippi Goat Association (MGA) welcomes you to our site. MGA is the oldest and one of the most comprehensive goat associations in the SouthEast. MGA puts together a positive family atmosphere using people with a common interest in raising goats. We have members that represent a wide variety of the goat community and we invite you to explore our club and get involved in promoting these wonderful creatures.

Our purposes include:

• Promoting goats as a viable source of long term, stable income
• Educating the general public about the role and uses of goats in agriculture
• Exporing long-term markets for the State of Mississippi and abroad
• Promoting meat in the supermarkets by helping to facilitate the development of high quality, lean, value-added products
• Promoting goat meat as an acceptable meat product from both a cuisine and health aspect in restaurants and other meat outlets
• Encouraging a high order of ethical, educational and professional attainment
